Lausanne, Switzerland, June 1, 2005 - The FIVB has just announced that the "match of the week" which will be broadcasted by satellite, will be the one between Argentina and Serbia & Montenegro, on Sunday 5 June at 9 p.m. GMT (6 p.m. local time), in the Luna Park Stadium of Buenos Aires.
For the first weekend of the World League events, the FIVB had chosen the Italy-France match (3-0), in Catania. Next Sunday, Argentina - bronze medallist in the Seoul Games in 1988, and two times Olympian, in Sydney (4th) and in Athens (5th) - will be playing against Serbia & Montenegro, Olympic Champion in Sydney and bronze medallist in Atlanta. A confrontation which promises to be fascinating!
The new programme "match of the week" on the satellite EBU (European Broadcasting Union) aims to give TV networks throughout the world the possibility to broadcast an eagerly expected match each weekend, till July 3rd.
