Durban, South Africa, October 1, 2004 - Egypt continued on the victory trail after collecting their third win in a row on Thursday after beating Algeria in straight sets (25-21, 25-23, 25-10) on the third day of Boys U-19 African Nations Championship in Durban, South Africa.
The efficient Egyptian spikes made it easy to penetrate the Algerian defense as Egypt took the lead in the five-nation competition.
After a defeat at the hands of Egypt on the second day, Tunisia recorded their second victory with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 26-24) win over Sudan to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for a place in the 2005 Boys U-19 World Championship, expected to be hosted by Algeria.
Two African teams will qualify through this competition with a third place going to the African organizer.
