Harbin, China, May 21 -- Hosts and World Cup champions China scored a straight-sets 25-11, 25-19, 25-23 victory over European Champions Poland 3-0 in the China International Women's Volleyball tournament here on Friday.
Chinese Yao Hao was honored the Player of the Match at the Heilongjiang University.
Scoring the first point by block, the Chinese women never looked behind to win the first set 25-11, while the Polish women continued to make unforced errors in serves to surrender the second set 25-19. In the third set, both sides played 10-all and 23-all before the Polish women made another service error and Chinese Zhang Ping scored her jumping serve to seal the competition.
Poland lost t0 Cuba 1-3 on Thursday. On Saturday, China will play Cuba to vie for the tri-nation title after Turkey fails to make it for an otherwise four-nation meet.
