Guayaquil, Ecuador, May 05, 2004 - Defending champions Brazil defeated rivals Argentina by 3-1 to win the girl's Volleyball Under-15 South American championships in Guayaquil, Ecuador. As both teams reached the final of the tournament, they are each guaranteed a place at the 2005 World Championships to be held in Germany.
In a packed Gymnasium in Guayaquil, Argentina took the opening set by 25-19. Brazil recovered quickly, however, and notched up the next three sets by 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.
Venezuela clinched third spot with a victory over Peru.
