Top sides set for four-nation tournament

Beijing, China, May 2, 2004 - As part of their World Grand Prix and Olympic Games preparations, World Cup and World Grand Prix champions China will meet Cuba, Poland and Turkey in a four-nation women's volleyball tournament from May 20-23.

The initial phase of the tournament will take place in Harbin in the northeast of China before moving on to Tianjin.

Cuba, gold medalists at the last three Olympic Games, along with last-year's European champions and runners-up repectively, Poland and Turkey, will send full-strength teams to the tournament.

China, who won the gold medal in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, will go to Switzerland to take part in an international tournament in June and then play at the World Grand Prix in July.
