Dakar, Senegal, April 26, 2004 - Cameroon sides Injs and Sonel have been disqualified from the women's African Cup of Club Champions in Dakar. Injs came into the tournament with an incomplete line-up of players while Sonel arrived late after an official technical meeting hence the Competition Control Committee decided to disqualify both teams.
Meanwhile, last season's runners-up, Pipelines of Kenya, enjoyed a straight sets victory over Friguiabe of Guinea on the opening day of the women's Cup of Club Champions.
Host side, Sococim, lost their opening encounter against Bejaia of Algeria in straights sets in a match that took just 56 minutes to complete.
In the day's other game, Inter club of Congo clinched a 3-1 win over ASEC Mimosas of the Ivory Coast.
