Lorne Sawula, the Canadian coach, knows that his team has a distant chance of qualifying for the Olympic Games, but he is not about to close the door on the possibility.
We are looking forward to our final chance to qualify for the Olympics and we are here with the same team that finished fourth in the Norceca Championship, said Sawula.
I know that Cuba is the team to beat and the rest are more or less in the same league, he added. I think that we will have a good tournament as was the last Norceca when Cuba and USA qualified for the World Cup.
The Canadian team is bringing Sarah Pavan an impressive young player who was the best spiker in the Norceca Continental Championship.
We have been training very hard and I expect a good performance from our side in this event.
