September 2, 2003 - World No 2 Russia completed their warm up for the 2003 European Championship, which starts on Friday, with another comprehensive win over World Championship bronze medallists France on Monday night.

Russia won 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-10) after having earlier beaten France 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-16, 25-23) on Saturday.

The loss was France's fourth from their last five games.

Both teams now head to Germany for the start of the European Championship.
