August 22, 2003 - World League silver medalists Serbia and Montenegro gained revenge for thier loss to France at the 2002 World Championship in Argentina by defeating the Tricolores 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 26-28, 25-16) on Thursday night in the latest friendly match at the four nations tournament in Jablonec, Czech Republic.
Last year's World Championship defeat cost Serbia and Montenegro a medal as France won the bronze medal match but it was mostly one way traffic for the "Balkan Blues" this time round as Serbia and Montenegro continued France's disappointing run in the tournament where they still await their first win.
On Tuesday France lost to hosts, the Czech Republic 3-2, followed by a 3-2 loss to Russia before Thursday's result.
France now have two days off for training before playing a final match against the Czech Republic on Sunday before returning to France to prepare for next month's European Continental Championship with two internationals against Russia on August 30 and September 1.
