VOLLEYBALL COOPERATION PROGRAMME CONCEPT
The Volleyball Cooperation Programme is the FIVB’s fundamental grassroots
platform, through which constructive development actions are taken to support
category I and II National Federations to raise their structure and sport level. The
Volleyball Cooperation Programme, formerly Sports Aid Programme, has been the
essence of this development cooperation since 1989. The main objectives are to
generate a permanent development impact and to ensure that Volleyball and Beach
Volleyball take firm roots within countries and regions that many would think as
impossible, mainly due to environmental
constraints from economic and political
circumstances.
The objectives of the Volleyball Cooperation
Programme
are
clear
:
to
multiply
opportunities through a variety of courses
aimed at raising the level of the National
Federations involved, and to prepare them
in thinking forward towards the future
.
The courses offered reflect the need to
teach and deliver grassroot programmes in order to strive for maximum development
impact and emphasize the importance of continuous planning by each federation
involved. The Volleyball Cooperation Programme offers a variety of courses that aim
to satisfy the needs of the grassroot and to motivate young people to participate in
Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
The efforts of the Volleyball Cooperation
Programme are countless and they represent
the will to reshape and to change for the
better. Those actions are best described by
the slogan:
Building tomorrow today”
National Federations have
the responsibility to create
the structure that ensures
that their plans move
forward through
concrete
actions
.
