Fuzhou Open Q&A: Get to know China's beach volleyball stars

Questions will be accepted on Facebook and FIVB’s Chinese social media sites until April 24
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 19, 2014 – Get to know China’s beach volleyball stars with a special Q&A opportunity on Facebook leading up to the first FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event of the season, the Fuzhou Open.

Fans are invited to submit their questions for women’s FIVB Beach Volleyball World Champion Chen Xue, and Chinese men’s duo Jian Li and Cheng Chen, to get to know the Chinese stars.

The 2014 FIVB beach volleyball international competition calendar begins for the second straight year with the Fuzhou Open in China when the capital city of the Fujian province will host the men’s and women’s Open from April 22 to 27.

China’s two-time Olympic team of Chen Xue/Xi Zhang won the gold medal at the 2013 event.

This year, Xue will be trying to build her previous successes with new partner Xinyi Xia, a 17-year old from Beijing.

Jian Li and Cheng Chen will also be a Chinese team to watch this year. The pair is one of four Chinese men’s teams hoping to stand out in the first FIVB beach volleyball event of the year in their country, alongside C. Yang-Bao J., HA Likejiang-CH. Chen and Li Zhuoxin-Zhang Lizeng.

Fan questions will be accepted on Facebook and FIVB’s Chinese social media sites, Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo, until April 24.
