Turkish Federation opens indoor beach volleyball hall in Istanbul

The Burhan Felek Beach Volleyball Hall opened its doors on January 25, hosting the fifth leg of Turkey's professional beach volleyball league
Istanbul, Turkey, January 25, 2014. An indoor beach volleyball hall which is located just next to the Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall was officially inaugurated on Saturday in Turkey’s megalopolis Istanbul.

This facility adds extra value to the Burhan Felek Sports Complex of the Turkish Volleyball Federation and follows on a protocol previously signed with the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Sports and Youth Services.

The hall is equipped with heated sand while the heating is integrated into the air blowing system that provides inflation for the hot air balloon. A special system guarantees air circulation and keeps the environment as clean as possible. A lighting system makes sure that the court can be used 365 days a year as well as night and day for playing beach volleyball; there are also bleaches to accommodate as many as 100 spectators.

The Burhan Felek Beach Volleyball Hall opened its doors on Saturday, January 25, by hosting matches on schedule for the fifth leg of Turkey’s professional beach volleyball league.
