Hong Kong, China, 26 August - Brazilians Adriana-Behar/Shelda continued with their record-breaking streak and season in Hong Kong with their fourth consecutive victory. 

The morning of the final saw a fight between the two Brazilian teams, Sandra/Tatiana and Adriana-Behar /Shelda, to decide which team would go into the finals. Sandra-Tatiana just not strong enough to put an end to the world champion's amazing streak 

In the other semifinal, the young USA team of Walsh/May, winners in Espinho, Portugal, defeated the Italian team of Perrotta-Gattelli, setting up a replay of the Espinho 28 July final with Adriana-Behar/Shelda . 

But the Americans had no defense against the Brazilians on this day, Adriana-Behar/Shelda finishing off the match and the tournament in straight sets and 45 minutes.

In the playoff for third/fourth, the Italians Perrotta/Gattelli pulled off their first podium finish, defeating the Brazilians Sandra-Tatiana 2:0 (21:15, 21:16)
