Other potential interested organisers under discussion are as follows:
- USA (Men, November)
* Participation in the World Championships (Prize money: US$ 250,000 for each gender) and Goodwill Games (Prize money: US$ 150,000 for each gender) is compulsory for all eligible players in accordance with the FIVB Competition Entry regulations. Priority to enter into the World Championships will be given to players having taken part in a minimum of 5 events in 2001.
** Only players who participate in a minimum of eight (8) FIVB events scheduled in 2001 (e.g. World Championships, Grand Slam and Open) will be eligible for the US$ 2 million FIVB Bonus Pool.
