Emanuel/Tande come back after Klagenfurt disappointment

Ostende, Belgium, 12 August - Brazilians Emanuel/Tande displayed their experience and style today by taking another World Tour victory, their fourth for the season.

The win, in a small way, made up for their disappointing fifth at the World Championship at Klagenfurt last week.

Losing the first set to compatriots Ricardo/Loiola, Alexander Tande displayed magnificent defence in the second set, and along with a huge dual at the net between Emanuel and Loiola, Emanuel/Tande took the set, then the tie-breaker third set to finally take the match 2-1 (19-21, 21-16, 15-9).

In the bronze medal play off, the Laciga brothers had their sixth podium finish of the season, defeating newly crowned World Champions Baracetti/Conde in two sets.

The victory over the World Champions was rewards for a good tournament for the Swiss, but the Argentineans seemed to lack the enthusiasm they had showed in their last 3 tournaments victories.
