Egypt to host FIVB Beach Volleyball event for first time

Egypt will host their first-ever FIVB Beach Volleyball tournament with a Women's Challenger event to be held at Hacienda Bay Beach Resort , El Alamein, on August 21 - 23.

Sixteen teams will compete for Prize Money of US$30,000 at the resort 300 km from Cairo, located on the Mediterranean Sea. 

The Hacienda Bay Beach Resort in the North Coast is well-equipped with sporting facilities and boasts a 1.2-km private beach. The resort has a Spanish-style influence with deep attractive facades, wrought iron, imported ceramics, primitive wall finishes and terracotta floors.

Hacienda Bay is a newly developed area for year-round tourism in the North Coast in the Al Alamein area. The mild temperature and low humidity provides a comfortable atmosphere throughout the year.
