| Netherlands Tandem Tops Tomoi Field |

Lausanne, Switzerland, August 7, 2004 - Third-seeded Sanne Keizer and Merel Mooren of the Nederlands scored a 21-15 and 21-16 win over second-seeded Cecilie Josefsen and Kristina Wigg of Norway here Saturday to capture the Tornoi International de Lausanne, a Satellite stop on the 2004 SWATCH-FIVB World Tour.
Keizer, the 2002 under 18 champion in Xylokastro, Greece, and Mooren won their final three matches of the event after losing to seventh-seeded Annik Skrivan and Isabelle Forrer of Switzerland 22-20 and 21-12 in one of the final matches of the winner's bracket. Josefsen and Wigg also posted three-straight elimination wins to reach the semi-finals.
Top-seeded Sara Montagnoli and Sabine Swoboda of Austria captured the bronze medal by defeating Skrivan and Forrer 21-18, 17-21 and 16-14 |
