Moscow, Russia, July 1, 2011 - For the fourth consecutive year the Russian stop of FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour will take place at Poklonnaya Gora in the historical centre of Moscow.
On Friday the first press conference was held at the office of the Rambler company - official partner of the tournament. The conference was attended by tournament director Ilya Volodarsky, a representative of the Russian Volleyball Federation Marina Marchuk, brand manager of SWATCH-Russia, Alexandra Lutz, PR-director of Rambler, as well as brand manager of J7 Lilia Maslak.
“For the fourth year in a row we are happy to stage one of the largest competitions in the world of beach volleyball,” Volodarsky said. “On behalf of the organizing commitee I would like to thank all our partners and sponsors, all those who provided us with invaluable support. Special thanks to the government and the Mayor of Moscow. This year we have slightly changed the location of the courts by expanding it to 90 degrees. I think that such a layout will benefit all - the audience, which will be more convenient to look for the battles on the sand, and also for the journalists, who will find it much easier to work at the tournament. At the moment we do not have any withdraws from the top teams, which means that all of the world beach volleyball stars will come to Moscow. You will be able to see World champions, European champions and Olympic champions here in Moscow at Poklonnaya Gora.”
“Over the last three years Rambler had a wonderful support for the beach volleyball competitions in Russia,” Kreinin added. “We welcome all of you, dear colleagues, to our office and we hope that with the help of the Rambler Press-Center, which will be equipped at Poklonnaya Gora from July 11 to 17, your work at the tournament will be even more enjoyable and interesting.”
