Canberra, Australia, June 6, 2011 – The Australia youth squad left for Europe on Monday for a European tour in preparation for the FIVB Beach Volleyball Youth World Championships 2011 which are due to be played in Umag, Croatia from June 22 to 26.

The Australian line up, which will also be hosted by the Netherlands Volleyball Federation with a training camp and series of tournaments with the Netherlands junior squad, is a real mix of youthful experience led by two-time Youth World Championships participant Mariafe Artacho Del Solar who has won the past three Under 23 national championships along with multiple top five finishes on the Australian Beach Volleyball Series and three first time European tour athletes (Brad Millers, Max Staples and Maddie Clarke).

The FIVB Beach Volleyball Youth World Championships is an annual event for beach volleyball players aged under 19.
