After a year's hiatus, the SWATCH FIVB World Tour returns to 2009 international Beach Volleyball calendar as the second annual PAF Open will be staged in Mariehamn on the Åland Islands.  The PAF Open marks the second time that the Finnish and Swedish Volleyball federations have joined forces to stage a SWATCH FIVB World Tour event with the first being in 2007 when teams from Brazil captured the gold medals.  Åland is an archipelago and has 25,000 permanent residents and attracts more than 2-million visitors annually.  Åland also features the most sunshine hours in the entire Nordic region.  Pictured below are 2007 Åland winners (left to right) Pedro Salgado, Harley Marques and Larissa Franca.
