Lausanne, 7th June 2007 – Gstaad SWATCH FIVB World Championships news. 46% of the tickets sold out in a few days! The tickets for the 2007 SWATCH FIVB World Championships powered by 1to1 energy are an occasion to be seized right now! Since media partners 20 Minuten, Berner Zeitung and Radio BeO began their campaign and reports, the number of tickets sold is constantly increasing: the CHF 30.00 daily card and the CHF 90.00 4 days pass are selling well, especially for the weekend of the Finals. From the beginning of June until the Worlds in Gstaad there will be plenty of information available on DRS 3. The sponsor partners like 1to1 energy, Coop and Seat are publishing in their own magazines articles about the Worlds. Therefore tournament director Ruedi Kunz is certain that all tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be sold before the event. That is one more reason to buy tickets in advance, since already 46% have been sold.
Laciga-Laciga: the Swiss brothers are back together after the Olympics in Athens The once so successful Beach Volleyball brothers Martin and Paul Laciga will make their comeback for the World Championships in Gstaad. Their last time together was in Athens 2004, when they placed 5th. The knee of Markus Egger, partner of Martin Laciga, is still not completely healed. Therefore Martin and Paul will be united for the World Championships.
A World tent for everyone To encourage the fans who are planning a cheap weekend, cheering on the best Beach Volleyball players in the world, the organizers have set up a nice initiative. The possibility to stay in a tent with max. 5 persons, with showers and toilets, just 2 minutes walk from the side courts and the party area. The tent, branded with Gstaad SWATCH FIVB World Championships logos, can be kept as a souvenir at the end of the week.
