Walsh delighted to keep run going
Rhodes, Greece, May 22, 2004 - Another match, another victory. Misty May and Kerri Walsh just can't stop winning and they are in perfect shape ahead of Sunday's semi-final as they seek their sixth Swatch - FIVB World Tour tournament win in a row. It was a tough lesson in Rhodes for their American conterparts Annett Davis and Jennifer Jordan who were always playing catch up in a match they lost 2-0 (21-10, 21-14).

"I think we played very well all 'round," Walsh beamed after the match. "I think we served well and we passed well and I think we made very few mistakes. Misty and I are moving very well together and when we do that we're tough to beat."

Walsh was also full of praise for the supporters who made their way out to watch the all American game, "The fans here are awesome and the little kids are out in full force. It's really special when you have little kids out here who look up to you and enjoy watching you play while cheering you on. They were chanting 'USA' and for me that's very special. It's great preparation to play in front of a Greek crowd and it's also great to compete against international players."

Responding to a question as to what other teams have to do to beat this seamingly unbeatable pair, Walsh suggested, "They're going to have to play very well but as long as Misty and I take care of our side of the court we're going to be ok. Our biggest enemy is ourselves and if we look after each other we'll be fine."

Walsh and May are clear favourites for another tournament win and Walsh is full of confidence going into the final day of the competition, "If we play like we did today we should win," she said. "I believe we need to play aggessively in order to do well."
