Tucked in between two Grand Slam tournaments in Marseille and Klagenfurt is the Poland Open, where all Beach Volleyball fans and players will experience the delights of Central Europe.

Having just joined the European Union in May, Poland is set to show off all of its unique qualities, which provide a wonderful venue for top class Beach Volleyball action.

The Poland Open will be staged not on one of the many beaches, nor in a town, but at a recreational centre in scenic grounds amidst beautiful lakes and woods in Stare Jablonki.

The National Volleyball Federation and promotor are very proud that, as of this year, Poland has been accepted into the elite global sphere of organizers of a Swatch-FIVB World Tour event. The local organizers are certain that this tournament will permanently be entered into the national calender as one of the major events of the Polish sporting year.

Stare Jablonki is without doubt the capital of Poland when it comes to Beach Volleyball. So far it has staged a number of national tournaments as well as the European Championships last year.

Based on the local and European experience, expect huge crowds at Stare Jablonki. The sun, Beach Volleyball and general family entertainment make for a terrific mix and have a euphoric effect on the fans, who typically cool themselves down in the lake once the evening draws in.
