The total number of matches will be 208, comprising 104 men’s and 104 women’s matches. The women’s
tournament runs through July 1 to 6 while the men’s tournament will be held from July 2 to 7.

Preliminary Phase
The 48 teams per gender are split equally into 12 pools of
four teams in accordance with the FIVB regulations using
the serpentine system based on the Entry Points of each
team with the host nation placed in positions one and
12.
Only host nation teams cannot be in the same pool.
Teams in each pool play a game against each of their pool
opponents. The top two teams from each pool advance to
the knockout first round stage, along with the top eight
best third-ranked teams (based on match points, sets ratio
and points ratio). The remaining four third-ranked pairs are
ranked 33
rd
while all fourth-place teams in the pool round
are ranked 37

teams per gender were decided as follows:

Minimum two (2) and a maximum of six (6) Host NF
places/teams as per the confirmed NF Entry List. A
third, fourth, fifth and sixth Host NF entered team has
sufficient Entry Points upon release of the Confirmed NF
Entry List.

A maximum forty-three (43) and minimum thirty-nine
(39)
foreign places/teams in accordance with the FIVB
Entry Points of the entered teams.

Three (3) FIVB Wild Cards: one (1) Wild Card granted to
a Host Country team and two (2) Wild Cards granted at
the FIVB’s discretion.
