Rome, June 17, 2011 – By the end of Saturday, the lineups for both the men’s and women’s finals at the FIVB Swatch World Championships Rome 2011 powered by smart will be known.
In the men’s competition newly installed favourites Alison Cerutti and Emanuel Rego are in line to meet defending champions Julius Brink and Jonas Reckermann in the semifinals, providing they overcome tricky quarterfinal opponents.

Women’s favourites Larissa Franca and Juliana Felisberta Silva must overcome the Czech Republic’s Hana Klapalova and Lenka Hajeckova if they are to end their quest to finally win a World Championships gold medal.
In the other semifinal, three-time champions Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh face China’s eighth-seed pairing of Chen Xue and Xi Zhang.
