Only athletes who have
been properly registered through the FIVB VIS website by their
respective NF’s, who have sent in a copy of a valid passport as well as
duly signed the 2005
Challenger/Satellite/Junior World Championships
Player’s Agreement will be considered eligible to take part in the event.
Furthermore, all athletes must be born
on January 1st, 1985 or thereafter
to be considered eligible.
Passports will also be checked again
during the Preliminary Inquiry meetings. However, a valid copy must be
sent in to the FIVB beforehand for the player to be considered eligible
to play. |

The Promoter will provide all teams taking part in the main draw with
hotel accommodations (double rooms)
and meals from the evening of Tuesday, September 6th for the
women and Wednesday, September 7th
for the men until breakfast Sunday,
September 11th for the women and Monday morning,
September 12th.
The 8 teams who will not advance from the preliminary phase to the final
phase will be required to checkout on Friday morning September
9th for the women and Saturday
morning, September 10th 2005 for the men.
The promoter will not cover any board and lodging expenses for the
qualification competition teams, coaches, NF head of delegation,
athletes’ parents or other people accompanying the players.
All Athletes are also
responsible for any and all extra expenses at the hotel such as
mini-bar, phone calls, laundry, etc. These expenses must be paid at
checkout.

All Athletes (or their
respective NFs) are responsible to bear the expenses of their own
international and domestic airfare to and from the closest international
or local airport as well as for any airport taxes or visa expenses.
Athletes are requested to apply early for
their entry visas, whenever needed.
The promoter shall provide local transportation to & from
the closest international or local airport to the venue for all teams
starting from September 6th
& onward until
September 12th. All other companions
however will be responsible for their own local transportation.
The promoter is not responsible for the
transportation of qualification athletes;
however, the promoter will try to provide
local transportation if and when possible.
All main draw teams are
therefore required to communicate to the
promoter their respective travel itineraries
by no later than August 31st, to the
event office & to the attention of
Ms. Marcela HONIGMAN
or Ms. Regina
MEIRELES.

Referee Clinic - September 6th: 9am-6pm
Qualification tournament:
Single-elimination,
with a maximum of 16 teams. 4 teams to advance
to the main draw
September 7th for the men - matches
to begin at 9am (TBC)
**There will be no qualification competition for
the women
Main Draw:
September 7th – 10th for the women
- matches to begin at 9am (TBC) on the 7th
September 8th
– 11th for the men - matches to begin at
9am (TBC) on the 8th
Please note that the start times of the above event
schedule will be confirmed during the technical meetings.
Preliminary phase:
6 groups of 4 teams, each playing round robin with 24 teams total
– 2 top ranked teams from each group will qualify for the final phase,
plus the 4 best teams ranked third
Final phase:
single-elimination,
with 16 qualified teams
It is compulsory for all
athletes to attend the Preliminary Inquiry &
Technical Meetings as follows:
