For FIVB recognition
of a National Tour, the NF concerned is required to
abide by the following regulations:
1. Each NF willing
to stage a National Tour must request FIVB the
recognition of its event(s) providing the FIVB with its
complete calendar featuring the prize money, hosting
cities, gender and dates. Such a National Tour should
feature at least 3 events.
2. Each host NF
must request such recognition from FIVB through the
appropriate form which will be provided in due time;
3. The name of
another sports organization or promoter cannot be
featured in the title of a National Tour.
4. Only registered
athletes being in good standing with its FIVB affiliated
NF may take part to a National Tour (in the host country
and abroad)
5. Foreign players
may be invited only through their respective NF.
6. International
players’ participation agreement between the two
NFs concerned is required when anyone of the top 32
teams in the World Ranking per gender are invited for
the whole National Tour. The agreement must be
previously registered within and approved by the FIVB
not later than 30 days prior to the National Tour event
concerned and the receiving promoter or NF must pay to
the FIVB a 3000 USD administration fee.
7. The
participation of foreign teams is limited as follows:
7.1 For
16-team main draw 2 foreign pairs may participate, but
limited to three tournaments.
7.2 For
24/32-team main draw 4 foreign pairs may participate,
but limited to three tournaments.
7.3 After
playing the specified number of tournaments the
initial players may be replaced by another equal
number of pairs from another Country.
8. 8.
In case of a clash with a World Tour
event, the top 32 teams in the World Ranking of the
gender cannot take part in such a National Tour leg,
with the exception of the host country teams, unless
they are also required by the FIVB for the World Tour
event concerned.
9. 9.
Foreign teams can only be featured
with the names of the athletes while they cannot be
promoted as representatives of their country.
10. 10.
Players taking part in a National
Tour event not sanctioned by the corresponding National
Volleyball Federation or not recognized by the FIVB are
liable to disqualification and non eligibility for any
Volleyball and Beach Volleyball National event,
Continental events and FIVB events including World
Championships and the Olympic Games.
11. These regulations must be
immediately implemented by all affiliated NFs.
12. Youth/Junior National Tours
must also undergo through the above homologation process
if the organizers are willing to invite foreign teams
which exact number may be determined as per paragraph 7
of these regulations. |
