The King and Queen of the
Beach 2006 winners are automatically qualified to play, with
their own partners, the Brazil vs. United States King and
Queen of the Beach Challenges, to be played on the 19th and
26th of February, respectively, in Ipanema Beach, Rio de
Janeiro.

The Brazil vs. United States King and Queen of the Beach
Challenges is an only three-set game according to FIVB’s
official rules. The first two sets are up to 21 points and
the third, if necessary, up to 15. The sets don’t have point
limits and ends only with a two-point difference between
teams. This matches winners will be declared the Brazil vs.
United States King of the Beach Challenge / Queen of the
Beach Challenge Champions. After the 2006 matches, the
series is tied 4-4, with the United States women 3-0 and the
Brazilian men 4-1
