Men's 2005 Lausanne

Lausanne, Switzerland is looking forward to hosting the 16th
International Beach Volleyball
FIVB
Satellite Tournament from August
10th to August 14th, 2005. Apart
from its
traditional Men's
Satellite, Lausanne is
pleased to organize, for the second time, a Women Satellite Tournament.
International Beach Volley Tournament 2005
-
Apart from the FIVB Women and
Men's Satellite tournament, a popular 4x4 volleyball tournament on grass "Park
Volley" and an Exhibition game will take place at the same time. The combination
of these events, which admission is free for the public, will last for 5 days as
follows:
Women's FIVB Satellite Tournament
From Wednesday, Aug 10th to Saturday Aug.
13th at Vidy-Coubertin (main court)
Men's FIVB Satellite Tournament
From Thursday, Aug 11th to Sunday Aug.
14th at Bellerive and Vidy-Coubertin (main court)
Park Volley (4 x 4)
This popular tournament will offer the possibility
for
everyone to play beach
volleyball between friends and
family. Registration (for free) is
at
www.beachvolleylausanne.ch or on-site
(if spots are still available). It will take place on Saturday, Aug.
13th on the field "des Archers" close to the main court.
Date
of substitution: Sunday, Aug 14th
Exhibition game
The aim of this event is to support a non-profit
organization. In
2005
it
was named
by the United Nations
Associations International Year for Sport and Physical Education
and therefore
it has been
decided to support the young
Swiss athletes through the Swiss Helping Foundation
www.aidesportive.ch. Well-known personalities from sports
and politics will
be invited to
participate. The exhibition will take place on Sunday, Aug.
14th at Vidy-Coubertin (main court) between the men's semi finals and final.

a daily basis. There is a 30 minute flight linking both airports more than 10
times a day.

the major Swiss cities can easily be reached from the Canton of Vaud (A1/E25 and
A9/E27 motorways). Lausanne is situated

countries of Western Europe.
