With the women's 2005 SWATCH-FIVB World Tour
taking a week off, the FIVB has sanctioned two Satellite events for this weekend
in France and Italy. Both events are mixed gender tournaments that are being
held in France at St. Jean de Monts and in Italy at Alba Adriatica. This
weekend's events also mark the first FIVB tournaments for the two sites. The two
Satellite events are the second and third non-open events on the 2005 women's
schedule after Thailad hosted the first stop at the end of February.
