The FIVB is proud to present its first International event of the season, the 2005 Mazda FIVB Beach Volleyball Satellite, that will be held this month in the heart of Bangkok right next to the Robinson Department Store, which is located in the very central part of the city.

The beach volleyball stadium is purpose-built for the tournament and can seat 2,500 spectators. The official Hotel for players is the 4-star Emerald Hotel, which is located just a 3 minute walk away from the stadium.

Transportation from the Emerald hotel to the shopping and commercial districts of Bangkok is easy as the newly-opened subway system passes the hotel, with the nearest station sited opposite the Department Store.

Bangkok has many exciting things to visit such as the Grand Palace, the Emerald Budhha, the Temple of Dawn, Crocodile farms, Mini-Siam, Riverboat Tours and the Sunday Market.
