Center court will be built
in the heart of the city of Turku by the river
Aura. Preliminary matches
will be played in front of the hotel Caribia.
Major improvements will be made with higher quality seats in
on new bleachers, restaurant shelter, etc.
The general layout is based
on
earlier experiences and information received from similar
events.

**Should the Prize Money amount and/or number of teams in
the main draw be different from the above standard formats,
then the ranking points will also be different than the
herein above and a proposed World Ranking Points breakdown
must be submitted to the FIVB by the promoter for its final
approval prior to the event.
In order to achieve a different World Ranking Points
breakdown scheme, the same concept can be taken from the
herein above standard formats and/or from the example in
2004 handbook, page 159.

Board &
Lodging
/
International & Local Transportation |
The promoter will cover the
board & lodging costs of all the national teams taking part
in the main draw.
All players are however personally responsible for all and
any extras at the hotel such as minibar, phone calls,
laundry, etc that must be paid at checkout
Players are responsible for their own
international and domestic airfare and for any airport taxes
or visa expenses. Players are requested to apply early
enough for their entry visas, whenever needed.
The organiser will arrange and be responsible for all local
transportation for all main draw participants, Officials and
referees, including transportation between the nearest
international airport and the site, and when needed, between
the official hotel(s) and the venue of any technical and
official hospitality or social functions.

Uniforms |
Uniforms will be checked
during the Preliminary Inquiry. Players of the same team
must wear the same colour and style of shorts. The display
of players' sponsors’ logos on shorts and accessories is
free as long as it complies with FIVB advertising
regulations.
Organisers will provide playing tops for the Saturday and
Sunday matches only. |

Insurance |
It is mandatory that all
athletes have their own liability and medical insurance. The
FIVB will not be held responsible for any medical expenses
incurred while competing in a tournament.

Residence |
|
All
the players and staff will be accommodated in the Holiday Club
Caribia, a high quality hotel in the center of Turku.
Organizers will arrange
local transportation between Caribia and
Varvintori for all players.
In the Caribia there is also spa
facility and gym, which are of course free of charge for the
players. On Saturday evening,
an evening event in the Caribia (sauna, pool, food, etc.)
will also most likely be arranged.
